Abstract: Authentication of a person is to ascertain his/her identity is an important problem in the society. Among various physiological traits(biometrics) , ear has gained much popularity in recent years as it has been formed to be the reliable biometrics for human recognition .Ear recognition consists of the two important steps:- I. Ear Detection II. Ear Recognition Ear Detection causes out the segmentation of the ear from the profile face. In this project we have decided to work on an available database and implement the neural network for the classification of the person from the specific image.
